I went to my appointment yesterday. The dr said she is not worried about what she found. I have fibroglandular tissue. She says that is very common in younger women. She thinks it hurts every month due to my hormones. Anyway she sent me to do a mammogram. I have my app. on monday. I can't believe she said a mammogram is ok. Other drs have told me I am young to do one. I hope everybody else is doing good.

Yes they have told me the same thing that I'm to young and have less breast mass to do mamo. my probs started when i was 21 now nearing 31 in few months i know that when i go in they will not do mamo and even my dr said that but in the order he said mamo but US if needed. He also said that a US is the best to find lump and what kind better than mamo so then why do us as women have to even do mamo's if US is better i dont really know why but thats what they do to drive us crazy lol. Now i have another issue my rib just under my breast with the lump is swollen (well the area of the rib) and very painful. I work 3rds and thats when it started was at work i didnt do anything any different so not sure why there is pain and swelling. I'm worried and thinking the worst that there really is some thing to this lump and it is spreading im very scared. All my probs are in my right breast on the right side and since iv had all my issues it has always been smaller than my left breast and looking at them my right seems bigger now its prob just me worring too much. Its just very hard not to worry and its just been over yr since i lost my ex mother in law (my best friend) to Inflammatory breast cancer. We both had a lot of the same issues so hints to why i worry. keep me posted on both ur apts

I feel more pain when I wear a bra. I only have pain on the left side of my left breast. They suggested it may be hormonal when I did my last US. Did they say something like that to you?

Hello. I have the same appointment than you ladies on thursday. They said they can't do mammogram because I am only 31. Is that right? I have a lump on my left breast, but 2 ultrasounds havent been able to show it. I am scared too. I hope you both the best on your appointments. Please let me kow how they go.

mammograms are usually always done on any and every breast you have, but the ultrasound may or may not be on both sides, and if you have a biopsy only the one side.

I would think that they would, but I'm sure the focuse will be were the lump is. Keep me informed because I'am have the same thing done on thursday and I'm scared. I'm only 30 and been suffering with lumps, pain and surgerys, but no cancer. Always told that it was nothing and I was to young to have anything. I'v now found a great ob/gyn and is very much on it and I'm very thankful for that. I have so much going on its makin me very stressed. I also have to see GI dr for possible Celiac's and then back to ob dr to have colposcopy done for irregular cells in my cervix. all this in the next month. My lump is in my right breast on the right side of the breast and is 3cm by 3cm and yes very painful. I also have cysts on my ovaries one is 2cm and the other is 2.6cm. please let me know how things go tmw my prayers are with you and that all things are ok. May God bless you
