Breastfeeding mothers-- please reply!

Do you get soo thirsty when breastfeeding? I'm so thirsty, I been keeping up with drinking water & gaterode. I'm ftm, & not sure if it's normal.

Yes! I consumed gallons of water when I nurse and the rule is to always eat or drink while nursing...keep in mind that your baby is draining your water and nutrients, so it's a requirement that you replenish them. Kind of like when you sweat...but ounces more!

super normal.  best thing  to keep up milk supply is simply to drink plenty of water. i try and drink a pint before and after a feeding.
