bottle nipples & teething pain

My son is about 4.5 months and has started refusing his bottles at daycare (we have playtex drop-ins w/ slow flow nipples) but he has no problem with breastfeeding.  I am thinking it may be due to teething pain as he is chewing his fingers like crazy - has anyone tried changing to a fast flow nipple to help alleviate teething pain and did the baby easily go back and forth btwn breastfeeding and a fast flow nipple?

my dd is 14 weeks old, my lactation consultant has recommended fast flow nipples. the nipple flow should be like your flow when he nurses. If you have a fast flow and use a slow flow nipple he may get frustrated because he's not getting the milk fast enough.

You might also try cup feeding. This can be done at any (even newborn) age.
