Burn from a 4th of July sparkler

My thumb got burned when I stupidly tried to light a sparkler with a pocket lighter. It started as a white patch on the side of my thumb but by the next day it had added a swollen puss boil on top of the thumb just above the nail. The boil hasnt popped and the spot can still feel, if a bit muted.

I cleaned and applied an antibiotic to the surface before bandaging it the first night.

Should I see a doctor about this, or will it heal on it's own with proper care?
