I am a Covid long hauler. I contracted Covid at my son-in-law's funeral prior to the vaccine's existence during Christmas Dec 2020. I initially had body aches, headaches, chills and fever of 104 resulting in my hospital admittance with double pneumonia and a diagnosis of Covid. I was released after being hospitalized for 1 week with a prescription for full time oxygen usage; however, I still had pneumonia, but no antibiotics were prescribed upon my release. I was told that there was a shortage of hospital beds. After being quarantined for two more weeks, I was able to be seen by a pulmonologist. He immediately prescribed antibiotics for 3 months since I still had pneumonia, chills, body aches, persistent headaches, and exhaustion. About 3 months later, I was told I should take the Covid vaccine when able. After my first Covid vaccine, I had a relapse of headaches, body aches, chills, fever, and difficulty breathing for another month. I was re-evaluated and informed my lungs were still damaged and I needed to continue with my night time oxygen. My continual headaches persisted for over 11 months. I thought I was well enough to cease using the night oxygen at about 10 months post Covid; however, when a night time breathing monitor was used to evaluate my breathing, I was told I might not survive the night without my oxygen. My lungs are slowly recovering, but I am not well yet. I took my 2nd Covid shot about 11 months after having Covid and experienced body aches, chills, fever, and headaches for only 3 days. My pulmonologist continues to prescribe my night time oxygen until my lungs are recovered sufficiently. I am still tired all the time, but I am getting stronger.
Even though you are testing negative, you could still be experiencing symptoms for several days. You just tested positive last week.
I had it in mid December, and still have fatigue and muscle aches. Talk to your doctor if you're concerned, but also give your body some time. I know it's scary, but it's only been a short time.
Hi. Was this a home test or lab test for covid?
I had covid last January, likely the Delta variant. I had it for a full 12 days and my taste and smell are still not to normal. We very likely had a much lighter version of it a few weeks ago as well.
I have my vaccines and booster. Have you been vaccinated? Not feeling well for a bit is not something to be concerned with in my opinion, however, you can check with your doctor.
That's not an emergency room visit but a general visit that could possibly be answered via telehealth or over the phone. Your anxiety is an issue though and likely making your mind spin.
Do you talk to anyone like a psychologist about health anxiety? It is treatable. Your initial symptoms were covid related and the post symptoms could be:
A. you still have covid and got a false negative on your retest. B. you are recovering but the residual side effects still linger. They should get better and better.
C. Your anxiety is causing you to hyper fixate and all twinges, deep breaths, etc. are felt and associated to covid when they might be actually more in the realm of normal (this happens with health anxiety)
D. you have a secondary virus.
You don't really give any cause for concern with your symptoms. Make sure you are hydrating properly which may help with dizziness. And talk to your GP. First about your symptoms and covid relation and second about your anxiety. good luck!
