Due to back pain in the thoracic spine I recently an MRI. I was diagnosed with "lesions at T7, T11 & T12, atypical for hemangiomas". The report went on to say that with my history of neoplasm (breast cancer), metastatic disease should be considered.
So what do I do with this information? Do I need to have these lesions biopsied? Should I have a bone scan first?
A PET/CT a few months ago did not reveal any uptake in that region.
Please advise.
