Black weird area of skin on inner vulva!

I'm 32 yrs old a mother and my youngest is 5 yrs old. A couple of months ago while shaving down below I noticed that I have this black Mark which is about under an inch in size on the inner vulva area. All surrounding skin is pink, this just looks very odd i have never noticed this before. It is not raised it is flat but it's a weird shape with jagged edges. It was definitely not there a few months ago and my husband has said he's never saw it before either ( while we were Being intimate.) I have no other problems down there except I have notices I get a slight burning feeling on the outside of that side of my vulva also.. Should I be worried about this or is this normal?!

Personally I know 4 women who had cervical cancer and one who had vaginal so my alarm sensors go REALLY fast. Actually my alarm sensors go up really quick period. (I had an ultrasound done on my breast at 19 for a lump that was just normal breast tissue growing sideways less than a month after I found it. I don't mess with anything that could be associated with cancer.) Anyway 3 weeks may be just fine, as it could be nothing. The burning sensation can come from a bacterial or yeast infection as well as not using enough lubricants. Also I don't think either cervical or vaginal cancers are considered a fast growing cancer. Sometimes even if you have had an abnormal pap smear they tell you to come back in 6months to a year to see if it changes. And after my sister's cervical cancer grew back they wanted to do another procedure to just remove the effected tissue, not the whole cervix. I'm rather unfamiliar with moles so I don't know if it being flat can still make it a true mole. Bottom line is I really don't know. It could be something as easily as it could not be. Go with your gut on the 3 week appointment. People usually have a way of knowing when something is wrong with their body.

However, if your pain is really bad, you have had any personal history of an abnormal pap smear, or any family history of cervical, vaginal, breast or ovarian cancers I would suggest getting into the gyn asap.  It's far better to be safe than sorry and if you have any elevated risks I would suggest to get into the dr's sooner than 3 weeks.

Hi thanks for your quick reply. The burning sensation has been going for months too. It is not constant but it comes and goes. I have an ache kind off too all on the same side that the Mark is on. I have an appointment with a gyne on nov 8th thats for a check up on the 5cm cyst they said I have on left ovary. They want to see did it go away on it's own but I don't think it has as I still get left sided pelvic pain and all this week have been in horrible pain all across pelvis.
So is that too far away, nov 8th to get this 'Mark' checked out??? And do you think it does sound odd to have a black Mark down there? Sorry for all the Q's just a bit panicky

You really need to get to a gyn asap. If you're sure it wasn't there before, it's possible it could be cancerous or something else equally serious. It's possible the burning sensation is caused by the start of thrust or a bacterial infection and it is possible that it's just an odd mole that is benign. BUT it IS also possible to get vaginal cancer so don't wait and get it checked out.
