Thank you for your kind words I really appreciate them. Even though it takes a long time to heal and scar tissue can sometimes be an issue if for any reason you feel your mother is in more pain than you believe is warranted make sure you keep on her doctors to find out if there is a reason, ie; blood tests, sonograms, or anything else that might help. Because they don't know how your mother feels only she does, so only she can be the judge of how much pain she is in. I will be be keeping her and you in my thoughts and hoping that she recovers fully.
I am so sorry that she is going through all of this, it is a horrible surgery. One I pray I never have to repeat. It's been over two years for me and I still have pain. The doctor says I'm fine, it could be this or that. To me I could care less all I know is I hurt. But I find that if I keep my bowel to a minimum (not stretched and hard) it hurts less. By using a stool softener and Miralax everyday. Of course I had a different section removed then your mother, my ascending colon and 8" of small intestine , so it might not be the same effect.
I hope my advice helps a little in any way. Good luck, I will be hoping that everything works out for her.
