Do I have Penile cancer

Hello, I am a 16 year old boy from the U.S. Ive had a big dark patch of skin in my penis shaft. This patch has been here for 2-3 years already, but I haven't really worried about it until now, I searched online and found a couple articles that said that change in color  can be an early sign of penile cancer, but I have look at the other symptoms and I don't have them. Can someone please help

Can these symptoms mean something else like, an infection, or some other type of cancer?

Yes, of course. This is why I provided a link of many things.  Most are completely harmless and that is absolutely most likely what the situation is.  As I stated, penile melanosis matches your description and it is harmless.  I would be shocked if you had cancer, actually, and would expect this to be a harmless condition.
Oh, okay. I will check the link out, and I also will let you know what my doctor says once my appointment comes up. This sound really reassuring. Hopefully it’s nothing bad , Thank you.

Hello, I wanted to check in and see if you've seen your doctor as of yet?

No actually I had to reschedule my meeting to January 17th because my doctor was  not going to be back until the 16th. But I do have another question.

Thank you for answering, I have made an appointment with the doctor. But before that actually I did forget to leave out something, this is all forming around the line that you have in your penis shaft would that change anything?

I believe the line is called the penile raphe.
No other symptoms just that.
That doesn't really change my initial message to you.  Please let me know how the doctor's appointment goes.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Thank you for your question but are sorry you had to ask it.  It is the recommendation that you have a doctor look at this patch. There is a high likelihood that it is nothing to worry about but in the off chance that it is something, you would want to treat that. You mention penile cancer which is a possibility although low.  Do you have any other symptoms?  I would guess that this is something called penile melanosis.  This is a harmless condition.  Basically melanin (coloring of skin) accumulates in deposits that then look like an area of darker skin. https://www.healthline.com/health/mens-health/penile-discoloration#cancer  Please ask your parents to set up a doctors appointment to confirm and have this looked at and let us know what they say.
