Lump on Neck

Hi there. about four weeks ago i developed a large red lump on my neck. it was on the right side and is just below the middle of my neck. the red lump went down within a week but has left a small pea sized lump that is hard but painless  underneath the skin with no discolouration. could this be a sign of cancer? im thinking cause it came out like a spot it is probaly a boil, but would that leave a lump?

Hi there, welcome to the forum. This is an older thread but we appreciate your input.  Always best to check with a doctor.  Have you had a cancer experience or situation?

It's good to know that most lumps on the neck are benign and are cysts or lipomas and non cancerous.  Especially if they are not growing.  But it is important to make sure!  Seeing a doctor is always a good thing to do.
