carcinoid syndrom

carcinoid syndrom ususally reveals through symptoms such as flushing, diarea, wheezing,...and can be identified through 24 urine 5HIAA test. Has anyone had experienced only bone and muscle pain combined with high levels of 5 HIAA suggesting carcinoid syndrom -- the diagnosis confirmed? Thnak you for sharing with me...

I lost the first part of the message to you. No, not yet diagnosed, but highly suspected. This Monday it was PET scan and next Monday we should know more. Apart from the pain, he is phycically ok. But CT has indicated "something" on his liver, which then has been scanned by PET. I wish your kid the best treatment you can get and hope she will soon be fine.

My 15 year old is being tested for this, she has the flushing , diahreaha, wheezing{chest pain} nausea, abdominal pain that radiates and knee and foot swelling. Not sure if she has bone pain . We just turned in her 24 hour urnine test , apparently it takes 7-10 days.
Is your diagnosis confirmed? I didn't catch that. I guess it can show up in different ways . She is pretty miserable.
