mine wasn't to do with pregnancy , but I was diagnosed with carpel in both hands, and was given shots for the pain , they only lasted a couple of weeks and the pain came back.After a year or so ,I didn'.t notice it anymore that was about 15 years ago ...now it is back in one hand and I get shooting pains up my arm so I think it does seem to ease off then one gets a  return of symptoms .I do use my wrist/hand a lot last few days its eased off as I have treid not to use it much ...
