I'm sure those down days scared you.  I've been following your updates  nervously.  Good to read Teia is feeling better today.  Please give her a scritch from me...and Pip, warm hugs to you.

We are concerned about the old gal...I hope we are able to have her in good health at least until her 21st birthday at Summer Solstice.
I hope so, too, Pip.
Miss Teia had another bad start on Thursday, but was back to her old self by Noon...very fast bounce back compared o past episodes.
It hope Teia's good days continue to outweigh the bad.
Praying for the best.
She's had a good few days, is sleeping on my leg right now. :)

Missy T has been good these past couple of weeks;no IBD flare, good appetite, been very social, has gone Outside (with chaperon), exploring more of the hose, keeping the boy cats in line...

She was real funny earlier today, was watching a nature program on TV. Teia alerted to a toad that stiffened when threatened by a predator and was shown rolling down a mountainside. She did not take her eyes off the screen until they broke away for a car commercial.

Miss Teia has had one of two low energy days since the last report, but is doing better on the IBD front.
Low point day today... :(
Feeling better this morning.

☺ We be jammin'

Miss Teia and Buff got some Outside time today.
Cooper stuck his nose and one paw Out, then skittered away from the door back into the house.
Hahaha...you make me smile.
Good to read that.  Teia and Buff got some Outside time again today. Buff chewed grass for the 1st time.
Did Buff vomit after?  Jade would always vomit after eating grass.  So Cooper is still leery of 'outside'?  Nose and one paw out is a start.  Maybe 2 paws out next time.

Please feel free to start a new thread if you'd like.  I was just nervous to see a new post with Teia feeling poorly like she was.  Up to you. :)

Have been off line a few days taking care of piled up laundry and housework. :)

The semi-famous Miss Teia is doing pretty good. She did have a little trouble yesterday, passed another clot in her pee. But, she pooped more than usual.

Today, she has been resting easy, eating good and moving around the house a bit, too.

I could not get the camera in time, but Teia was looking out a window I opened, nose to the breeze. Buff jumped up and stood so close his hip was against hers, WITHOUT complaint. It lasted all of 10 seconds, opened the window close by and Buff had to see what was out there.
...and Cooper got a butt sniff in on her without a hiss.

Rough day for Missy T, had trouble pooping and I was finally able to help her by expressing the stuck stool. She must have been stuck a while as there was puke a few places around the room. :(

She's resting now.

Ohh, poor girl.  That's great you were able to help her out...and that she let you!  I don't believe I would know how to help under that circumstance.

I like that you're sticking to this thread.  I don't feel panicked seeing you add posts.  I think when you start a new one...

Hugs to you, Pip~
She's had water and pooped normally about 3 hours ago. Missy T is resting on my lap.  No appetite yet, will worry if that persists tomorrow.
Miss Teia had breakfast, had a normal poop and pee over night.
How's our girl doing the last ten days since you posted?

Miss Teia is doing good, had a minor flare of the IBD, but only one in the days since the last vet visit.

She had half a can of wet food over the course of the morning.  Did her post meal grooming and is now napping.

Miss Teia has had a flare of the UTI, was passing small blood clots, brought her to the vet yesterday. Physical exam was good (no abdominal pain when the vet palpitated), temp was normal, she's even gained a few ounces since the last time 2 1/2 months ago.

She got a Convenia shot, which she has had in the past, and tolerates well.

No blood or urine sample taken, vet did not want to further stress her.

Good appetite today, peed good overnight, moving around well.

I did discuss the adverse reviews I have read about Convenia with the vet.  She answered my concerns, which is why Miss Teia has had this medicine, the latest time as mentioned above.

Like anything in medicine, different individuals may react differently.

Using myself as an example. I had 6 months of chemo the latter half of 2015 in the aftermath of surgery for pancreatic cancer. I had few side effects, all of which were mild.

Other folks who have had the same therapy lost their hair, appetite, got nerve damage...

I'm not trying to minimize the tragedy when a beloved pet is lost to an adverse reaction. I know that loss.

died of anaphylactic shock from a mild sedative during a routine procedure.

Also, Miss Teia let Buff sniff her ear and pat her shoulder without a complaint. Later in the day, she let Cooper chase her and she just whrred at him after, no hiss.

It is so heartening to see how Miss Teia has blossomed.
