My cat clearly has an absess on her paw, I had some leftover antibiotics from last bite she got and it took the swelling down for a few days. Now out of antibiotics and her paw has swelled up again. I think it needs lanced but Vet not opened till tomorrow morn. I dont know if she can wait? Emergancy Vet will cost alot!! What should I do.

I've been known to soak a cat's foot in Epsom salts.  How is it doing today?

I'm so happy I could help! Yes, it is a good thing that it is draining. An abscess is just a pocket of puss similar to a pimple (inflammation signaling cells, debris and water that result from the cat's body fighting the infection). Please try to get your cat to a vet as soon as possible so they can properly apply antibiotics to prevent the abscess from resurfacing. I hope you and cat are doing well!

I found some helpful websites that you could apply for the day until your cat can see a vet. I hope this helps!
