urgent!!

my 2 yr old neutered male developed a swollen right eyelid this am. called vet, told to put warm compress on till tentative appt tomorrow am. Bob ate his lunch, tolerated compresses somewhat till he got the gist of what was going
on. The eye itself is ok, no discharge, just swollen eyelid. Then suddenly later this afternoon he had explosive diarrhea.
Called vet again, now suspect bee sting or spider bite instead of possible scratch. Call fiance to see if can bring Bob
to vet, we have $10 till tue, no can do. Bob now napping under couch and seems subdued for usual personality (i
would be too, after all that.) Any help till I can get to vet? Or what should I look for or do to keep him more comfortable? I
feel so bad for him and irresponsible for not being able to take him to vet!!! Please help. He's a strictly indoor cat but
bees have gotten in the house before, I got stung when one managed to get inside a sweatshirt-not a nice surprise. I
didn't find a bee corpse anywhere..Hey, Bob's next to me now and the swelling looks a little better.

It does sound like a bee, wasp, or yellow jacket sting, or possibly a spider bite.  Venom might have caused the diarrhea or that could have been simply from stress due to the discomfort of the sting.  That the swelling has come down is a good sign.  I would continue to watch the eye for any signs of new swelling or irritation, continue the compress, perhaps adding some baking soda to it.  Also watch for any additional diarrhea.  That can cause dehydration, so encourage him to drink as much as possible.

We had to take our Newborn kittens to the vet, although I am in the UK i assume sometthings are the same, We rang the RSPCA thign over here and they are helping us pay the fee, we take them to the Vet, the vet send the Bill to the RSPCA and then we pay the remainder after the RSPCA decide on how much they will pay...

I hope this hellps Kinda, or youu can find something similaarr...

Good luck: Get well soon Bob
