How do you treat URI in kittens?

I have 2 litters of kittens, 11 total and 8 of them are showing SERIOUS signs of upper respiratory infection. I called the vet she said this was definitely what they have. I have been giving them amoxicillin through their moms because they are too young to eat it through food. I cant afford to go to the vet and get the amoxicillin through them its about 10 times the price. Can someone please give me any advice? someone who maybe has dealt with this before? is there an eye drop I can buy? I have been giving them the medicine for over a week and its only gotten worse now my momma cats have it. This all started when I took in 2 kittens from a lady who has passed them around to a few houses trying to get a cat to nurse them. My cats did so I kept them. There were no signs because their eyes were still shut. Now that they have opened the two I took in have it the worst and online it says its from being to a lot of different homes with different bacteria. I cant loose my two momma cats or have them wind up blind PLEASE HELP I CANT AFFORD A VET!!

An amino acid called L-lysine is very effective on a URI when it's gone bacterial you need to add an antibiotic as you have, using the both together will a huge benefit for the kittens and momma too, can't believe your Vet didn't suggest this. You can buy some thru your Vet clinic to get started with but meanwhile order it thru iherb.com where it's cheaper and more pure. Or if you have a good vitamin supply store hand where you can get one in powder form with no soy, yeast, corn, salt etc, so it's safe for cats. The older cat can use 500 mg mixed in her food the kittens you'll need to use less...probably 250 mg mixed with a drop of water and given by syringe or dropper. They will need to use this for weeks (6-10) the brand I buy from iherb is by NOW foods. You can buy that most vitamin stores just hard to find in powder form
