Is it safe to give 4 year old cats food intended for mature cats ages 7 and up?

I have two 4 year old cats and two cats that are turning 7. I have always fed them Hill's Science Diet (Adult 1-6 years) cat food. Since two of my cats are now turning 7 I will most likely have to change to the Science Diet (Mature adult 7+). My question is if it's safe to give my two younger cats the same cat food as my older cats? Thank you!

Here's an idea: mix the two foods together equally, that way all your cats get what they need.  Ask your vet if this is a good idea.  Blessings - Blu

You know, if you can't feed them two different kinds, I'd be more likely to keep the older cats on the younger cat food until they are all seniors, rather than the other way around.  Unless it makes them fat, it probably won't hurt the seniors to be on junior food a little longer.  There is not quite enough calorie count in the senior food for the younger kitties.
