Is this a normal reaction to the Rabies shot?

I had my cat Waldo examined by the vet Thursday. This Friday evening I was in process of cleaning out the litter boxes.  He got set up to poop right after I cleaned the box, but not before I left. Like I always do whenever the cats start pooping as I am cleaning, I put the scooper in a stratigic place...

Well it didn't drop to plan, and it stuck to his rear. He scooted it off and I found blood in it.  Shortly after he vomited.

I plan to call the vet again. I'm just surprised by what happened.

I saved the stool. I think I'll see if I can call the vet right now.

It sounds to me to be more like the symptoms of an internal parasite infestation.  They can cause both blood in the stools and vomiting.  Call your vet and let him know about what happened.  He will probably want you to either bring the cat in for him to examine or, at the very least, bring in a fecal sample that he can examine for parasites.
