Kids swallow it as well - specially cos they like the taste ( more probably cats doesnt - strawberry, tuttifrutti and grape...)
Maybe is that the point.
Mailed him, lets check the answer.
Apple,
DON'T!! Even though they will not be consuming it it's best to stay away from it (If they were to eat good amounts of fluoride they would certainly develop bone cancer, thyroid issues etc)
Besides, putting the cat in distress isn't funny. You have seen how foaming is not a good scene. Dental health doesn't really have to be taken THERE, in my opinion. I think that yearly checks with the vet and good food can prevent them from developing dental problems in the future.
Look, when I took my cat Dillan to the vet a few months ago, they checked his mouth and were amazed at how well he was doing. No tartar, nothing. He was being fed raw foods. One more reason I preach about raw foods so much: it helps to keep tartar away. But any ways......
I'm sure if you stay on top of their yearly check-ups they'll be fine. Although I don't disagree with brushing your cat's teeth, I also don't think it is completely necessary.... from my experience.
yes I agree with you apple, flouride even has adverse health effects for humans....such as bones becoming more brittle and enamel on teeth more porous.
I really don't think its a good idea to use on the kids.
Just brushing their teeth even without any paste will help alot with dental tartar....I would do that before using human toothpaste!!..we spit out after brushing, cats swallow.
