Oh, Pip, after your post about Teia yesterday, I knew this was probably happening today. I am in tears as I type this. I am deeply, deeply sorry.
You gave Teia an amazing life. She went from a scared girl who wouldn't come out from under your bed, to a confident kitty who enjoyed going outside, having friends (the boys), and a kitty who wanted lap time. She was blessed to have you as her person for over 9 years, Pip. You did well with her and should be proud.
Since Teia and Jade looked so much alike, I like to think they had a special bond. Jade will be right in front with her paw out to Teia greeting her to the Rainbow Bridge just as all the other MH kitties who have passed will also. They've been waiting for her.
RIP, sweet Teia. You had many who loved you.
Warm hugs to you and Anita, Pip.
p.s. My husband knows "Pip" and "Teia" too, and also sends his condolences.
Pip, I realize you know the Rainbow Bridge poem, but I think it's appropriate for all the posts about the kitties who've passed to have it on their thread. I hope that's okay with you.

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....♥

I knew someone who kept her cat alive by heroic measures well beyond the cat's time and certainly past its comfort or quality of life. When she finally made the decision to visit the vet for the Final Kindness, she then went to church and prayed for forgiveness for keeping her cat alive so long.
Miss Teia has been part of all of our lives here at MedHelp. I am so sorry that it is her time, but obviously you are saving her pain and suffering.
Nobody could have done for her what you have done. Please take care of yourself tonight.

Just reading this sad news, I am so very sorry Pip, Miss Teia has been our MH kitty for as long as I've been here as was dear Jade.
Yes it hurts, as someone whose also had to make that final call too many times I understand how difficult it is, a time when we put others needs ahead of our own.
RIP dear Miss Teia, return in spirit to watch over those that love and miss you<3
Miss Teia Honey is now gone.
We asked the vet tech for her final weight, she was down to 4# 1 Oz. The skin of her hind legs,
when they shaved her to administer the Final Sleep, was bruised. Vet thinks she may have developed a clotting disorder.
I'm so sorry. I remember how I felt when I lost Akira to congestive heart failure. Everyone here is right in telling you that you made the right decision. It still hurts, but you're going to be spared the guilt of having held on to her too long. You most certainly gave her the best life possible.
Hey, Pip.
I wish I had the words to speak of this great furry love felineified so eloquently as my co-members have. I am blessed to have known Miss Teia at all. Thanks to you for that. She's in our hearts as you and Anita and Buff & Cooper are too. I hope you find comfort from each other. Blessings.
Anita got a last few pictures before we went to the vet, here's one: https://

I am so saddened to read this. Miss Teia has been a huge part of all our lives thanks to you and Anita. I know how painful this is. You loved her enough to do what was right for her. May your memories bring you comfort along with smiles when you think of her~
I've just come back from donating a box of Miss Teia specific supplies to the local shelter.
A lovely keep sake sent by a rescue friend.
