Whatever you have to do to make her live a bit longer, no matter if she gets mad at you.
The diarrhea is due to the liquid diet. Try not to feed her more than what she can handle right now, and for a sick adult cat I think she can handle so much, probably no more than a cup of food per day, perhaps a bit less. One cup of food a day will at least help her stay aware and alive. It is better to do this now than to have to take her to the vet for IV fluids.
force fed her egg drop soup kitten milk and gave her a bath cause she leaked poo around the house and on her leg now shes mad with me
Hi, that's awesome that she's drinking the kitten milk!!! That's probably very good for her-high in protein and lots of extra vitamins. With her leukemia, the extra vitamins will really work wonders on her. Have you tried chicken broth-cats really like it, and there's also some gel stuff that's got a bunch of calories and vitamins in it. I think it's called nutrical or nutrigel-I'll have to dig through my junk and find it, if you're interested. Usually when I give my cat the gell, I'll rub a big glob of it on the cats upper lips, then they have no choice but to lick it off. Cats can't stand their little faces dirty. I used to put the gel on their paws, but learned my lesson when the cat shook her paw and it got all over the walls and me.
I would make sure that she doesn't get dehydrated, and if she's not drinking enough water on her own, then I'd force feed her water too. Or, if you can get her to willingly drink the chicken broth, then that would be a good subsitute for water.
Stay positive, and know that you got people thinking about you and Penny, and wishing you the best.
Hugs for you!!

Hun, don't force feed her kibbles. Keep giving her milk. It'll be so much easier on her to swallow than to chew....
I'm glad she is eating..it may be just a little bit but at least she has not stopped eating. She is still getting some protein, vitamins and minerals and some fat in the milk. Kitten milk will help her boost her system. Keep us updated.
To be safe, have her mouth checked. I've noticed that "Weak jawed" mouthing food thing I've seen numerous times in sick cats, so it doesn't necessarily mean it's mouth problem.
There's a few I know that cause it, but beyond that I'm not sure what it is. Loss of sense of smell will cause them to do it. Which is why they react well to the milk, I think. It'd got a very sweet smell that even a cat with a head cold will still sometimes register.
The fact she's so eager to eat it is a good sign! It means the problem isn't so bad that she isn't willing to nom's.
Have her teeth checked/mouth just to be sure...and don't force the solids on her for a bit. Make sure she gets plenty of the milk supplement.
I bought pen some kitten milk..she lapped up some and then started to guard it >< Richard force fed her kibbles today. Think i should scurenge kitten milk down her?
Yes, please, keep us updated. She is always in my prayers.
I'm feeding her wet food but she wants to eat the juice and thats all. She's looking better but still skinyn and sleepy. Luffy wants to sniff her and sage is just fatty sage ><
Savas Shes taking her medicine well, and we're going to force feed her her food whether she likes it or not. I'm going to ask the dr. if theres something wrong with her mouth she seems to chew funny and lick alot and drop food out of her mouth, so she could have pain in there. Dali i'm going to pick up some kitten milk tommarrow from publix or walmart and see if she wants that. Hopefully i can get her to wake up and realize shes a porker :) I will talk to the vet about those treaments you advised, i hope their not an arm and a leg.
Thanks you all, I'll keep you posted.

I completely agree with Savas, and that was precisely what I had in mind. Force her to eat, and use a syringe if you have to. If she doesn't like regular cat milk then try kitten milk. Most sick cats will react well to kitten milk. How old is she? If Penny is older than 5 then feding her once a day would be appropriate. Make sure she eats at least alf a cup of food everyday in order to stay alive.
A little FYI hun: Raw or fresh diets tend to offer more digestible nutrition than processed commercial cat foods, that is why I told ou about the kitten milk which, even though it is sold at the pet supermarkets, it is better than most commercial foods. They are also free of harmful chemical preservatives and pesticides that can compromise the health of a well cat, let alone a sick one. Better nutrition tends to give the immune system a boost, increasing a cat's ability to contend with disease.
I was reading a magazine whith a very interesting article on feline leukenia. I was informed that several new, effective treatments have become available including ImmunoRegulin, Acemannan, Interferon Alpha, Baypamun, and many Holistic Treatments. Talk to the vet about these, hun. Try every possible way to make poor Penny feel better and make her live longer while being comfortable and happy.
You'll have to switch her to a liquid diet and force feed her with an oral syringe. Pick up one of the milk supplements I've mentioned. Generally that's the only option you have in these cases; just try to keep her strength up until the episode passes.
Sorry to hear she's still feeling poorly. Hopefully a week of feeding her this way will get her past the hump.
Hi, from what you described it sounds like her mouth is bothering her-maybe she's got a bad tooth or teeth or ulcers. I think leukemia positive cats are prone to mouth problems It sounds like she wants to eat. Try baby food with kitty vitamins smashed in it.
Has the vet looked in her mouth yet?
