Pregnant cat miscaaiage

I have a cat who appears to be about half way or so through a pregnancy. This morning I found spots of blood here n there throughout my house. I have a rescue, and several babies and disabled kitties in the house right now, so it took me a while to discover just who was bleeding and where, which it turns out is this pregnant cat. She's been in perfect health until this morn, appears ok but not as talkative (she's a big talker!), does not appear to have a high fever.
What I would like to find out is if it would be safe for me to give her a dose of Amoxicillan. I have had cats in the past who miscarried, and generally they get a high fever and sickly afterwards and I usually run them through a course of Amoxi and they do just fine. However since she has not aborted yet, I am unsure as to whether or not to give her the Amoxi.
TYVM for any input and/or helpful ideas!!!
Kindest Regards,
Clight

I agree with Kaydey...it would be best to get your pregnant momma to the veterinarian for an examination.

Empirical use of antibiotics (using them indiscriminately) can cause problems with the normal "good" bacteria in the cat's gut, so I would NOT recommend any Amoxi unless specifically directed by your veterinarian.

Just curious, with all the rescues you have at home, is everyone tested negative for feline leukemia and feline aids??

Since you have so many other cats in your house, it is best to call your vet and ask what to do.

You did not say if all your cats are vaccinated, or if there is something new environmentally that is happening.  I know my cats are feeling a bit 'ill' because the city is constantly spraying for mosquitoes (my opinion on that is another story).

Giving her a dose of Amox.  would be unwise right now if she is preg.  Talk to your vet.  Amox can have detrimental effects on a pregnant cat depending on how far a long she is.

Make sure your other cats are completely vaccinated also.  She may have picked up something from them if they are not.

Call your Vet.
