It is pretty rare to get rabies from a scratch, and of course, the animal would have to have rabies in the first place in order to spread rabies. It doesn't sound like your cat has rabies, and the most important thing is that you didn't get bitten, you just got scratched. (Rabies is transferred through saliva.) It sounds like it would be a good idea to get the cat a rabies shot, though, if you are going to be this worried about a cat scratch giving your rabies. After all, the cat might scratch you again some day and you don't want to go through this every time.
