Seriously ill kitten/cat

My cat (1 yr. old) has a serious infection. His eyes are watery, weeping and swollen. He is eating but very sick. I have some Doxycycline Monohydrate 100 mg. capsules and was wondering if this type of antibiotic is safe to administer to cats? I can not afford any vet at all right now, but I need to do something. If Doxycycline Monohydrate is not okay, is grape flavor liquid tylenol for infants?

Thank you very much in advance!

NEVER give pets human medicine unless your vet says it's okay!  And your kitty sounds miserable.  This may not be just a passing thing... you really need a vet, borrow the money or ask if you can make small payments.  Otherwise your cat may just die. :(

This sounds like an upper respiratory infection for which kitty needs to see a vet as soon as possible, like now if there is an emergency clinic open.

Human meds aren't safe to try and use.  Left untreated, he may well lose his eyes.

Most vets will work out a payment plan.

Over the counter pain meds like Tylenol or aspirin, cats can not process properly and they will damage their liver.

I'm not able to offer anything other than that, except good luck.
