Why has my cat stopped eating and drinking suddenly evne her fav foods?

My can suddenly  stopped eating and soon after stopped drinking too. Cat litter clean. At first I thought she was tired of Tuna so I bought her chicken but she ins't interested. She has always been picky. Only likes Pate. Recently thought she was not interested in food and soon after stopped drinking water. She is elderly and lays down a lot. I can't afford a vet (I live on subsidized rent and and am in debt as it is from College and no vets around me take monthly payments to pay off vet bills).

What can I do to help my elderly cat? She is about 15 years old. I have had her for about 13 years. Lately she won't even eat her favourite foods. She lays all over but she doesn't stay in one spot too long. I know she has arthritis. She let's me puck her up though and starts purrrrring. I have tried using a baby dropper to get water into her. I cannot afford a vet.

My cat is eating again. What ever it was she recovered on her own. She woke me up at 5am hungry and has been eating normal ever since. First small but working her way up.  I am keeping an eye on her.

That's great news. Maybe she had a hairball blocking her digestive tract. Do you have any Petromalt? It might help her pass anything that is left.

Hello.  How is your kitty tonight?  Were you able to get her to the Humane Society or a similar organization?

Not yet. I had dialysis and was too tired when I got home (Ya I have my own problems lol). She is weak but drinking water now. And peeing. But she won't eat food.

Good luck. If worst comes to worst, you might consider surrendering your cat to a no-kill shelter. At least they will have access to a vet.

I'm sorry, but kitty needs to see a vet. I'm sorry that you can't afford one, but if she is not eating, something is wrong. Can you call the humane organizations in your area and find out if there is any ability to have her checked there?

Okay I will call the humane society. I hope there is something they can suggest or do. THanks.
She is drinking now again at least but vomiting it up..
Still, she needs to see a vet.
Did you call the humane society or the vet?  Explain your situation as this kitty needs to be seen.
