Hey Awestruck13.
Did you get the blood tests back yet? Unless kitty worsens wait for those tests. If you don't hear by a couple hours before closing today then call them.
Meanwhile find out their hours for the next few days and whether or not they're closed for the holiday.
Find out emergency vet hours nearest to you and have a plan just in case.
Opus88 and AnnieBrooke gave you worthy answers.
Depending upon what your vet says about the blood tests and any additional info that you can give, like the gurgling, you can put something by your bed, like a chair , kitty steps, etc. that will help him access your bed more easily.
Icatcare.org (stands for International Cat Care) gives good info on cardiomyopathy should you decide you need that knowledge.
I hope all goes well with him and you.
Blessings,
Melinda

How young or old is the cat? I think cardiomyopathy might come on rather young. Another possibility is that the cat had some trauma (hit by a car or shaken by a dog) and got a split diaphragm. Did the vet listen to his chest?
Could possibly be asthma, don't want to scare you until you hear back tomorrow for sure but another possibility is Cardiomyopathy (HCM)would be having breathing difficulties and if he's passing small clots could explain the limp....wishing him the best hopefully nothing as serious, just giving you some possibilities. Keep us posted, fingers crossed
