black spots around mouth of kitten

There are black spots around my 1 year old, spayed and declawed kitten more have been growing. Any reasons why that could be there?

Oh, well then there you go!  This is a very common problem.  Switch immediately to ceramic, metal or even glass - both food and water bowl until you can get your cat her own bowls and see if this doesn't help the problem.  Make sure all food and water dishes are washed with soap every day.  To heal up the existing spots may need some kind of medication, though, but once the plastic is removed, hopefully the spots will begin to heal.  Let's see what other members have to say about this.

Yes, she does eat & drink from a plastic bowl.

Hi Mandy, this sounds like feline acne, but to be on the safe side and since you say they are growing, I would take your cat to the vet to make sure.  In the meantime, does your kitty eat from a plastic bowl?  Plastic will harbor bacteria and cause this problem for starters...
