If you can find a product called VooDoo DooDoo, it works! Also Natures Miracle is effective, both found in pet stores (kinda expensive, tho).

Here's something you can find in the Dollar Tree (or similar stores): "PowerHouse Foam Carpet Refresher" - get the Pet Fresh version -no vacuuming required. I got it for about $1.50 for my carpets (because I'm a smoker), then discovered it also works VERY well on pet odors. The smell is a little strong at first, but disappears after awhile. Leaves the room smelling nice! I only spray the area that needs it, not the whole carpet. Keep pets out of room & off of carpet for 5-10 minutes while it dries.

Have you stopped the kitty peeing in the room?
- you need to clean the area with a product avail from pet stores that will remove the smell not only from our noses but also the scent from the cats highly sensitive nose....they have products with an enzyme that will do this, the area that was pee'd on will need to be cleaned with this product.
Bleach/vinegar/ammonia and such products as you may have already found out will NOT work.
