cat travel sickness

hi we have a cat who will be 9 this c oming november and she is extremley trav el sick, we are moving in a couple weeks time and its 340 miles, i dont know what to do as i dont think that the vet will give her something to make her sleepy for a 7 hr journey.

any idea please PLEASE im getting desperate

Hi,
I have the same problem with my three cats. I took one to the vet and after an examination to ensure she was healthy the vet did prescribe be a sedative for them. It worked for one trip very well. however now they REFUSE to take pills and make themselves gag if i try to give them anything (even hidden in treats). I can't remember the name of the medication, but I am sure your vet would know.

hi and welcome, I am assuming she is getting travel sick d/t being scared. the only thing I recommend that is the safest to use is a homeo product called Rescue Remedy. its good for calming during travel or any trauma such as surgery or a trip to the Vets... I have used it for my own...good luck to you all.
