mini strokes or seizures?

My 17 year old cat has been having spells where she falls on the floor and just kicks her feet and stares blankly
for about 1 minute, she cannot move during this time, then she just drools and purrs.
Has anyone experienced this in an older cat before?

I had a cat that was 18 years old and she would do the same thing.

Yes, at that age this can happen. Has he had a check up recently? Cats at that age are at risk for hyperthyroidism, diabetes and a number of other (usually easily treatable) issues. A number of them can cause neurological events.

How is his health and behavior otherwise? coat consistency? bowel movement status? Grooming?
