Cat keeps running face after dental surgery

My cat recently had 24 teeth extracted 3 days ago. She isn't scratching at her face and the vet didn't want me to put the cone on since she isn't eating much and with the cone on she may be more discouraged. She keeps running her face on her cat scratch post. I tried to put her cone on but she's semi feral and got really upset, jumped away and is now hiding. I don't want her to do any damage to herself and I'm lost as if I should stop her. Any advice would be well appreciated.

I don't think you need to be concerned, she is likely in pain and rubbing to try and sooth herself, she'd have to rub/push pretty hard to do any injury. I hope your able to give her pain meds ? Wow that's a lot of teeth extracted all at once. Hoping she is eating some really soft canned food by now and doing okay, sorry for late reply❤️

She is doing much better. She ate for the first time last night and today she's ate 1&1/2 small cans of food. Her meds are a huge pain but I managed to block her access to under my bed! She was born and raised outside so the vet assumed her teeth were so bad due to it, she has severe periodontal disease to the point her jaw was starting to fracture. They needed to get rid of the awful disease in her mouth. She is feeling much better today, purring and being cuddly. Thank you anyways :)
Aww that's great to hear, this poor kitty I can just imagine the suffering she endured with such painful teeth, thank you so much for taking on and caring for a kitty that obviously needed someone badly.....she will be a different cat now that she can eat and be pain free xo
