chiari specialists in Kentucky

Can anyone tell me how to find a neurologist or neurosurgeon that specialized in Chiari malformation in the state of Kentucky?

I can comfortably recommend Dr Carl Hampf (neurosurgeon) and Dr Gary Strickland (neurologist). Dr. Strickland is the person that diagnosed me and Dr Hampf was my surgeon.

I've recommended them both before and the people the I recommended will also recommend them - Sissy and love mygirls.

I think that sentence has the word "recommend" way too many times :)

Yes the dr in TN has helped several of our members Shane being one of them,...I am sure if u have ne questions he will be able to answer them.

I am glad u were able to find drs that u r able to get to.

Thanks Selma.  My husband has not been diagnosed but he sure exhibits all of the symptoms.  We are already used to traveling hours to see doctors because we live so far away from anything.  Was hoping to at least find a specialist in Kentucky but I saw that there are a few in Nashville, Tn. and that's definitely a place we can get to.

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

We have a thread of chiari specialists that I bumped up so it would be easy to find....all the names are of drs members here have been to and liked....I do suggest u research all drs prior to seeing them...and find one u r comfortable with.

Most of us with chiari do need to travel to get to drs that specialize .....
