IM 5 week post op. It seems like days change with my symptoms.  Some days I feel my balance is better other days I feel like it is bad again I'm so frustrated:( I think my neck iis healing OK but when will I stop feeling some pain.  Also is it OK to lay on the back of your head I feel like it hurts more when I lay on it. Sometimes I feel like I'm cutting off the circulation. Please help.

it sounds like you are doing fine.  Fair as feeling good one day and then bad the next.  That is normal.  It is your body adjusting.   Mine did this for awhile.  I am 2 1/2 years post op and still have some times my feelings change with weather or different things.  Just remember you get better with each day.

Hi 0224 - I am at the very same point in my recovery (surgery 7/29). Have you been having consistent pain for your time after surgery? Do you note what you are doing zat times when you feel dizziness? Neck pain is difficult because it limits what you can see. Are you yet driving?

I came from 3 months doing well, feeling stronger. Then, things seemed to return to how they were pre-surgery. My head and neck still hurt - more some days than others. I still sleep on my side, but my sleep is always a struggle.

I read above what Selma suggested that you gather all your threads into one place so you can look at your progress on days that are most difficult. That's very comforting to me. I will pray for a smoother recovery as you come into 6 months. And this brings up the question - have you scheduled a post-op visit?
