Are my symptoms normal? Does anyone else experience these?

Hi everyone.
I was diagnosed back in December and have noticed a few of the symptoms I was told to watch for. I’ve had neck pain on and off in the back of my neck, headaches, etc but more recently I’ve noticed what feels like an uncomfortable and somewhat painful electric current through my lower half, it feels like I need to stretch but can’t stretch enough. I have yet to notice it in my upper half but think I am too focused on the annoyance in my legs to notice. I also have experienced RAPID memory loss.. to the point where I can barely remember three days ago or things I need to do. My doctor said memory loss is not a symptom nor related to Chiari but I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t be and half no other explanation. I am only 21 and can’t think of another reason for all of this. Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, these are all common symptoms. Stress & exhaustion triggers them more. STM is not permanent. My memory is a lot better at 53, better at working numbers. I looked into protein neurons, cleaner diet, reg mi event exercise. I’ve learned so much (nuerolgy, muscuskeletal) on my own as so many Chiari specialists had nothing for me.

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

What you are describing we call Chiari fog....memory lapses, word recall....etc...is due to Chiari but many Drs even some Chiari specialists do not list all the symptoms we have all found to share with other Chiarians.

We have a thread for Unoffical Chiari Symptoms list.....I will see if I can locate it and bump it up for you to look at.

Finding the right Dr is key, and I can tell you I saw many that do not believe that Chiari can and does cause us any symptoms.

I am new here. Could I have that link too please. I get a cold sensation on my face with my lips and parts of my face feeling numb without actually being numb. I also get a terrible taste in my mouth. When all of this is severe I feel very sleepy and start to slur my speech. Still waiting for my neurologist to get back to me.
Hi and welcome to the  Chiari forum.

Keep in mind this is an older thread and you do have to read the posts as they are added to see the list in it's entirety .
