Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

Yes any NS can do the surgery BUT it does not mean they should or you will have optimum results.

We have not had any members from the middle east share names of Drs there to start a list....so the only thing you can do is educate yourself and research Drs to find one that understands ALL related conditions....even one willing to chat with a specialist here in the states....that would be the best route to take.....sorry I don't have more info.

Hi i have an mri for the brain and cervical spine and the result came out but when i went to a neurosergeon he told me nothing is going on even when i told him about my symptoms like headech , neck pain , arms and shoulders pain etc he told just get a Massage. The part of the mri result is " Tonsillar herniation is noted with tonsillar descent approximating 8.8 mm across the foramen magnum .
The tip of the cerebellar tonsils is seen just at the level of the posterior arch of c1 vertebra" so is this chiari ?
Im going to see another neurosergeon next week but im nervous.
Thank you very much
Chiari is the malformation of the skull, so not being a medical professional I can not say...but if it says low lying tonsils I have to ask, were you in a MVA or had trauma to the head or neck?
