Dr Claire Fracamano in Baltimore, MD
I have that as well, so to help with the shoulder and hip issues while sleeping I try to put a pillow behind me when on my side so I can roll back onto it to help lift some of the weight off my side...it helps some....
It can, especially if it has cause CCI (ccervicalcranial instability) ,,,,it can affect all joints so this is why disk issues can be an indicator to EDS......
Who is the doctor that they referred you to? I feel like my joints pop sometimes Like when I'm laying down and move to lay on my side my shoulder poppa outs.Does eds cause balance problem a too. I feel like when my knees and legs a sore my balance is worse:(
My Chiari specialist had a NL working with him and he DX'd me...they sent me to another Dr that is a Geneticist....and a specialist for EDS....I never went bcuz of the wait time and it is out of state....hard to get to, when you do not drive.....but others that have gone are very happy with her....in fact she heads a EDS clinic that recently opened.
Those symptoms may be EDS related....but could be due to a syrinx, tethered cord or Chiari the symptoms are all so similar it is hard to know which are from which condition....
Thank you for the information. I feel like the pain in my legs and numbness and tingling in legs, hip pain, back pain cycle. Are these signs of eds? And what kind of doctor do you go to for diagnosis?
There are some markers you could look for yourself...keeping in mine not all types of EDS are hypermobile but the first tests done are to look at hypermobility.
