Selma - I have a question for u...I just followed the link and saw the list of no-no's for Chiari...my question is are all of those post or pre op? Just curious is all...
I was an avid runner (before my diagnosis of Chiari) and was informed by NS that because I no longer have my C1 I may not be able to return to running like I used to...complete bummer but I TOTALLY get it and feel its a air trade off! He said it is just too hard on back/neck/spine.
On another side note, my dr who told me YEARS ago that I shouldnt be running because of my knee will be happy that I'm not going back to that. Again I was told it was too high impact on my knees by the previous dr.
What we love can also be what makes us worse: exercise, babies, socializing, gardening (in my case).
It's a tough call sometimes.
Please can you post the link for the thread :)
Thank you!
thank you.. the excercise i do is pretty intense as it is bootcamp and box-a-fit it involves a lot of luncging, jumping around, and weights.. though whilst i'm doing it i forget about my headache and the pain. I think that is why i enjoy it so much..
Thank you for your comments!

Thank you for the idea of swiming with the snorkel. I love to swim but it gives me HA and neck pain! I'll try it!
I would be very, very careful. I was only pruning--hardly "exercise"--& that's what set me off relentlessly. I usd to bounce back before that. Don't do anything jarring or holding your head in one position for long. Maybe swimming on your back or with a snorkel? I did some ballet barre exercises in the pool before I got too sick.
