Friday & sunny

but Im on the pity pot anyway.
Im 4 mo post op and was improving well until I had the flu.  that set me back at least 3 weeks, to the point where the pain was unmanageable.
then my DH fell & broke his leg; now my life is a nightmare.  Ive had to go back to doing everything I did before surgery, including the things HE did.  His dr. doesnt see why I cant drive him back & forth to work; umm, that would be 4 hr out of my day.  Not to mention that Im still on narcotics!
everything is Have To now--serve him food, laundry, groceries, dishes, exercise the dog, empty the litter box, etc.   the trash has been in the bin for a couple weeks now.

yes, we've gotten some help, but it's all out of pocket.  5 more weeks of this.

the good news is that I had an acupuncture treatment, which pretty much eliminated the nausea.  good riddance!

I cant imagine how people can go back to work, especially doing hard physical labor.  be careful out there.

anyway, I hope everyone is making progress.

thanks, Selma.
At least I got him to figure out that he needs a pen AND the checkbook, and might want a spoon AND a fork in 1 trip for me!

Im waiting to receive a handicapped shield in the mail, but being a couple car widths closer isnt going to make that much difference.  our grocery store wont  gather up anything in advance, nor deliver.  This has been a good lesson on where we might need to move in the next few years or so.  CNC is very yuppie & not very elderly friendly.

Just wanted to say I am so sorry to hear this.  My DH had his leg in a cast and I didn't have surgery at the time, so I can not inmagine.  Just driving my DH around I thought I was taking drivers training all over again.  LOL...Don't forget to think about you, and do little things at a time, it isn't worth getting hurt over. Wishing you the best.
Linda :)
