anyone with back pain after surgery?

I am 4 months post op. I was told a few years ago i have slight scoliosis in lower back, but my back never ever bothered me. Only near my shoulder blades and up. Since my surgery my back hurts both lower and upper. Its gettin worse. Im gonna call my pcp to push for a mri of spine. Some days its unbearable. I see my new nl on jan 4. Id like to have the mri to take with me?! Has anyone else had this problem. No my ns did not check my back at all before surgery. Hmmm wonder why?!

I just had surgery on the 13th. When walking or moving aroung for about 45 mins,I feel  intolerable pain, and a warm, sensation in my lower back. I could barely stand it feels like my lower back has been beaten up. I did not have this before surgery. Any suggestions as to what could be wrong?

I know theres smething goin on i just have to fight with the drs to figure it out. I wont stop til i get some answers.

It just dawned on me that my ns also told me I have disc  issues, arthritis, narrowing squishing nerves (can't remember term might be stenoisis) ... Maybe you an now feel the other issues.  He said after big stuff was treated we may have to look at some of that stuff.

I also love this forum because there are so many of us that can relate to what other's are going through.  I just am not a very patient person and I'm trying to adjust to the fact that I have to, but it is hard at times when you have a bad day.  I hope you get your answer's on your next appt.  Just remember to start making that question list.  Not just because it's Christmas :)     We will get our lives back.  Just take's a little more time for some of us.

  I do get lower back pain, but I did have it b4 surgery too!....I have mild scoliosis and tethered cord.

It is possible it is from the scoliosis and that u mind it more now as , u may be walking diff and ur balance is diff, and some pain in other areas is not over powering the pain u have in ur back....just some thoughts.....

I hope u hear from ur Dr....please keep us posted.

I am hoping you get answer's.  I go today to NS at 3:00 and asking for full spine MRI flow study.  It's flustrating after sugery to feel the way we do doesn't it.?  Was told last week by pain clinic.  Surgery isn't a cure:(  I just wish it would of helped a little more.  It take's a long time for us to heal,  just be patient, but also persistant.  I feel sorry for my dr today he doesn't know who he is walking into LOL.!!!! Just feeling like you.  Just want some answer's.  Wish you the best,  I'll let you know how it goes today.

I would call pcp and ask for MRI.  My NS did full spine scan and said we had to look at all issues.  He said if you do not post op I could be saying this didn't work because there are other issues causing pain and it was necessary to cover all grounds.  I agree!  Get a scan!
