Horrible Painful Back pain

Hi. I have Chiari Malformation 6mm. I wake up 2-3 times a night with severe pain in my lower back, starting @ my waist all the way to the middle of my buttocks. The pain is excruciating to the point that I can't lift pull myself out of bed. I feel like I'm paralyzed. Does this have to do with the Chiari? Could I have an obstruction or a Syrinx. Can anyone advise if they've had or have these symptoms? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your prompt response. You are the best.
No I haven't been tested for anything, except that MRI, I had in 03/2014 when I was Hospitalized.
I recently got my Medical Card. I just now found some Doctots that are Chiari specialist. Will be calling to schedule an appointment with one of them. Will post comments from visit after the fact.
Thank you

Hi....we all are different....and it could indicate  a syrinx, tethered cord...EDS....a number of  things...

I would  get  pain like  that but usually at  the end  of  a long work day....

Have you had testing  to rule out  related conditions?
