Hi All, in order to post a Prayer Thread for you, please post your date here on this thread so we know u would like one.

Know/No it does not need to be surgery for Chiari, it can be for  anything.....and know we will keep u in our thoughts and prayers.

Mackenzie's surgery went well. They had a hard time getting her pain under control yesterday, but things are going better now. She is keeping down fluids and oral medicines. Thank you for your prayers! Please pray for continuing success in her recovery.

Decompression w/duraplasty at Weill Cornell Brain and Spine Center in Manhattan on 4/22. Already out of work on disability...I'm a nervous wreck!

Hi Tamiko, your surgery is a week after mine. Where are you coming from? Try to find opportunities to rest this coming week before you go in. Is your nervousness over the unknown? Or are you unsure about how you will be afterward? Just be mindful of your activity level and listen to your body and what it tells you about your abilities and your limitations. Try to do some of the things that you enjoy doing while you are waiting this week. Thinking about things can be really challenging. I wish you some comfort. Keep us posted on your progress so we can continue to encourage you. Support makes you stronger.
