Locks Of Love!!!!

for my vp shunt surgery they will shave the front of my head. Since the back of my head is already shaved it would look stupid (my opinion) to leave if any hair is left. So I decided I am going to get my head shaved the night before for locks of love. When I first found out my hair was going to be shaved I was sad since I'm a 17 year old girl LOL but now I'm super excited. But I haven't told my mom yet and I no she will be upset LOL oh and I have an appt. With dr wingart( I think that's his name) for jan.  13 but I may get in next week due to cancelle ations.

dr heffez said to find a local guy to do my shunt because I need to be close to my dr in case of complications. Dr heffez suggested Hopkins and he said for this I do not need a specialist since it's a common procedure. Thanks for all ur replies!

like i've always said....you are an angel!  best of luck with the shunt, honey!  sure do hope it does the job!  how did you end up with wiengart instead of heffez?  he was one of the drs i consulted before i had my surgery!  small world....

thank u!!! I'm actually excited about it!! Lol and my hair is long like middle of my back and super thick so it might be nice to be bald for awhile LOL
