Mace' update

Mace' continues to struggle with pain & symptoms. We were released from tbe hosp after an infection in her wound was cleared. We have only spent a total of 14 days home since 04/03.including the.past 7days. She has been complaining of a clicking noise in her head since the fusion & it is now a crunching noise? She states it REALLY HURTS! Her pain level runs a steady 7-8. Dr. B has asked us to return to NY for further Testing, due to the fact she had an allergic reaction to meds 1 day post op & FULL motion of her neck, she may have possible damage to her hardware.  She is fighting with grace & continues to focus on helping others! She was interviewed by r local paper & wants awareness.  She wanta everyone to know she does feel slightly better since the surg & asks for prayers for everyone fighting Chiari. <3 Kelly

Sorry to hear about the continued pain and complications.  I hope this next visit goes well and brings some answers.  

I see I'm not the only one with a crunchy neck.  I've been wondering about that.

I had clicking in my head after both my brain surgeries.  Hope everything begins to improve soon!

  I am sorry to hear she is still having pain and issues...and it was another long stay in the hospital....

Sending prayers that this next trip to see Dr B gives her  yrs of pain free and surgery free relief.

Thanks for ur update.mace is an amazing fighter and u r a great mom!!!! The only thing that is calming me down is that u r in hands of a specialist.i hope so much that she gets on her way of feeling better.i am facing clicking and crunching sounds in my neck with horrible pain to and am awaiting to get a specialist appointment.good luck and we have to stay strong in this fight.
