New smptoms

So I got diagnosised with Chiari and had surgery over a year ago. My symptoms slowly started coming back and when bad I get treated with steriods. Not really getting my questions asked at the MD and never know when to call the MD. I expect to have symptoms forever. How to you know when they could be serious. I recently started having some new symtpoms, but am afraid to call my MD cause I don't have the money for a MRI.

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

I am curious like Billy as to what all was done for ur surgery, did u have a lamenectomy, duraplasty....??there r diff types of decompression's....and if u had a duraplasty what type of patch was used?

Did ur Dr rule out related issues? EDS, cerviocranial instability?

Did u have a MRI post op to see how things were healing and if u had ne scar tissue forming?

There are conditions some will develop post op, and a reg MD may not be the right Dr to be seeing....what r ur concerns and symptoms?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having such a ruff time :\
So... Can you tell us about the surgery you have already had done.
And, what are the symptoms that you are currently worried about??
