I hit my head a couple days ago, thinking nothing of it, took my ultram, put ice on it and, laid down. I am 8 months decompression and after laying down for about 2 hours, i woke up with the smell and kinda metallic taste.. have not been to dr, because i thought it was a bump, but niw i smell the metallic all the time, and now my walking is off and feeling like i am falling.. Wondering if i should go to the ER.

I read in your post about waking with the metallic smell/taste. That sound very scary. Let us know if you learn that it is significant in light of the head injury you experienced, I hope you feel better today.

ER or Urgent care would be wise. It might be nothing important, but until they identify the cause of the symptoms don't assume it's benign.  Other then neurological causes, a coppery metallic taste and smell can be from blood deep in the nasal or esophageal passages.

After any serious surgery it's always good sense to err on the side of caution because there is a very real chance of associated complications.
