Medication

Hi to all !  Hope everyone is having a good day.  I am wondering what medications you have tried to ease the pain. My daughter is taking tramadol but its not working like it did when she first started it.  Have apt with PCP week after next.
So far only test done is MRI that showed Chiari Malformation 1.

  There is a Dr Green in Miami....have you tried him?

I was on TOPAMAX post op, DIAMAX is often used to help reduce the amount of fluid....

Others with Chiari have flown to get to a Dr, and there is another one up in Orlando area.....

could you please list the meds that you have tried.  anyone else too. I would like to research them prior to taking them

We live in Homestead, Fl  and I am having a difficult time finding a specialist I our area. She gets car sick and flying I think would put too much pressure in her head.

  Hi....I did not find a med that helped for any length of time......post op meds were more of a help as I healed....

More testing will need to be done....as there are other related conditions that should be ruled out for your DD......first one being does she have a syrinx, and or a CSF obstruction....a Chiari specialist will take you thru all the proper testing one by one.....
