That is such a bummer! I just rode my bike Wednesday, I forget how fun it is. But there will be a time when I can no longer ride.
I know longer have my own bike because of vertigo. :(
I ride and am post-op and I also rode pre-op. I find I get headaches after riding, so I usually spend the day after a ride recovering, lol. I love to ride though. I took six months off from riding after my surgery. Ialso just had hip surgery so I have only ridden once in the last 14 weeks, but plan to ride this weekend, even if just a short ride.
I don't have balance issues (althogh I have been having dizziness), I have also never had a drop attack.
My doctor told me it's okay to ride. Riding has risks all of their own. All the best!
P.S. I take it ur a female, so am I. Nice to meet a fellow female rider.
Pre op...well, that is like post op...u must abstain from the same activities....u know what symptoms u r having.
I will say this, the day I had my first drop attack, I felt great...there was no warning...just went down....with a condition like this and symptoms like these u just never know what is going to happen next or when.
But u know how u have been feeling...how it is affecting ur quality of life.....u can only judge by that...and wish and hope for the best that nothing happens...that is all u can do.
If it were me, personally, I would not do it...I might want to...but I would not.

I appreciate the reply.. but im PRE op! :) Have not had surgery yet and I dont trust the NS i saw any farther than i can throw him.. so asking him will do no good! I have more faith in asking you guys! lol
Hi...well it all depends on u and how u r progressing...some of us still have balance issues post op as well as depth perception issues which is not good for driving ne type of motor vehicle....
Plus, a motorcycle can still give the rider a jarring ride.
This is something u should discuss with ur Dr once u have completely gone thru the healing process...and I mean inside and out ( they say it takes up to 2 yrs for the nerves to heal)
And the rest is up to u....u had surgery for a reason, if doing something u love might bring it back, u have to choose which do u love more......and will this create a danger for me.....
so only by talking to ur Dr can u make an informed decision.
