Silly Saturday

Is this already a topic?  Laughing is the only thing making me feel better.  My son joked that if they opened the wrong side of my head, I'd come home with a nose job instead of decompression surgery.  I said, then I'd have to find a very good lawyer.  He's a lawyer, lol.

I've been watching George Carlin shows in chronological order, Mr. Bean, modern family, & Arrested Development.

LMAO!!! That is too funny!

I too love comedy, it lightens my mood whenever it's dark and depressed. I'm so thankful for my Netflix because I can dig through the comedy section whenever I need a pick-me-up, which has been quite often lately! Hope everyone had a fantastic week! :)

Gosh, I just cant imagine why he found no humor in that! ....let him know he is in good company, as our twisted family quite often has a good laugh at my DH expense!
Laughter keeps me sane!

Thanks, I really seem to benefit from a laugh fix anyway, but when I feel badly it's essential, like air.

My husband has fair and half-width eyebrows.  We had a dog who used to shed in cLumps, so once I stuck her clumps on his face to give him black eyebrows, but for some reason he didn't seem to think it was funny.

God bless the silly, for they shall inherit the mirth.

And God bless the people who can work with the sick and dying; I know that I could not.

LOL!  We have joked about surgery too. Normally my G-Pa has a wonderful nurse that will take a perm.black marker and write "NO" on the good hip, knee, hand, etc. and "YES" on the bad one, or "Bad"/ "Good". So I'm always saying, ok promise me you'll marker up my face if I have to go in!  My luck my family will take the oppurtunity to give me a goatee, mustache, and some evil eyebrows or decorative tattoo art work all over my face!
So I checked one the website for you. You can go to www.247comedy.com, then you can choose sketches, videos, stand ups, or use I heart radio. The one I listen to is a local station in Phx, and we get it all the way down in our little town, its www.funny973.com.  Looks like there are many options on the first one.
My oldest daughter has always worked with small children and is now getting ready to start a nursing program during her senior year of HS. She wants to work on the pediatric floor, with the cancer patients. We agree, kids handle all situations with that child like faith. She has been talking to some of our friends that work with peds and they have been very upfront with her about how emotionaly painful it can be. I have been telling her to realize that helping the kids will be the easy part, helping/dealing with the parents will be the challenge. Nothing worse than your little ones being sick!
I hope you get some enjoyment out of the stations.

Where can I find it online?

My daughter is a PICU nurse, and she said that kids make the best patients; I guess we could do well to model ourselves after them. (except couldn't we all do with a mom too?  :)

My son teased me about hoping that the surgeon cuts the back of my head instead of my face, lol, very funny!

I too love comedy and laughing thru the pain. I recently found a radio station that only airs 24/7 comedy. They play snips of stand up comdians, and it is hilarious! I put in on while driving my older kids to and from school. I'm sure the people driving around me must think I'm nuts when they see me laughing out loud while driving. I can listen online as well.
I love how our kids have the ability to keep things light. I made up my mind that if they have to watch me go through this everyday, then they were going to see me be as positive as possible. Making lemonade out of lemons by finding the humurous side of things.

Well Saturday is coming to an end, & I finally have something to tell: I've had cats my whole life, and my year old Manx cat is the best hunter I have ever had.  He's caught numerous mammals, insects, 1 bird(TG), skinks, and 1 snake.  Now he caught a crayfish.  Are you kidding, a crayfish?!  That means he was in the stream!  I expect fish any time now.
