I tried to reply to your post last night, but my computer wouldn't cooperate with me. I also have CM and sleep apnea. I love my CPAP machine. It has made a huge difference in my sleep. You should definitely have a sleep study. I also read that CM people are at risk for lots of sleep disorders. As a matter of fact, in addition to sleep apnea I have something called Periodic Limb Movement Disorder (PLMD). It is similar to RLS.

I've read where about 75% of Chiari patients have apnea, one of the first things my my pain management doc did was get a sleep study done on me. And yes I have apnea.

I have used the CPAP machine for about 2 months. It takes a little while to get used to but now I'm OK with it.

We do have a few members using a C-Pap machine and it is one of the issues I say to get checked for since it is a major issue with chiarians.....

There is a thread on here by a mom who lost her son bcuz this was not looked for....it is very important to be checked...u can go to a sleep clinic or have a study done in ur home by a Dr's rx...as ur PCP to check out Nova Som.....I did this and it was easy to do and the testing is reliable.

This is a red flag symptom for Chiari. Sleep apnea is very serious. Having this would be reason alone to have surgery. They can test for this and you should be taking this very seriously if it continues.

Hello :-) Sleep apnea and sleep disturbances can be associated with chiari, from what I've read.  I have it, but don't have the bipap or cpap yet. Ask your NL for a sleep study and you will find out for sure. It can be a dangerous condition, so you definitely want to catch it and fix it. Good luck :-)
