Stuttering after decompression surgery

I had decompression surgery back in January and am still very much in the healing phase.  I am still dealing with dizziness, coordination, and fine motor skills, as well as processing trouble.  However, the reason I am posting is that I have developed a stutter.  I was told that this could not be surgery related but from others I have talked too it does not seem right.  From seeing a physiatrist  they do not feel that it is related on the “emotion” level.  Has anyone else struggled with this after surgery?

I see my general doctor on friday and hope that will go somewhere, most likely a speech specialist I am guessing.  I was told that it was not possible with decompression surgery but did not ask with Chiari itself.  I don't see the specialist till next month but I will defiantly be asking more question than.
